Our Story

In 1988, Stanley Drilling Equipment & Supply was founded on a straightforward but uncompromising belief: the men and women doing the hardest work in the field — whether on land or at sea — deserve a supply partner they can count on.

From the start, we built our business around the full spectrum of drilling operations. Onshore, we supported contractors and operators working across Texas and the Gulf Coast region, supplying the equipment that keeps rigs turning and job sites moving. Offshore, we learned early that the stakes are higher, the logistics are harder, and the margin for error is zero. We rose to meet that standard.

As our business evolved, so did our reach. What began as a regional operation expanded into international markets first into Latin America, supporting drilling projects across the Gulf of Mexico and into Mexico’s offshore production zones, then further still. We built relationships and established supply channels across the Middle East, where some of the world’s most demanding drilling environments test equipment and suppliers alike. We extended our reach into India, serving a rapidly growing energy sector hungry for reliable, technically sound equipment partners. We also expanded into Southeast Asia, including Vietnam, Malaysia and Brunei — supporting offshore exploration, regional supply hubs, and mature production environments that demand precision, reliability, and strong logistical coordination. And we planted roots across Africa, where emerging oil and gas development is reshaping the continent’s energy landscape and creating demand that requires experienced, dependable suppliers to meet it.

We navigated the complexities of cross-border logistics, import and export compliance, and the unique demands of supplying equipment to operations thousands of miles from the nearest warehouse. It made us sharper, more resourceful, and better equipped to serve customers wherever the work takes them.

Over nearly four decades, we developed the sourcing relationships, technical knowledge, and operational discipline that onshore, offshore, and international environments each demand. Land-based work taught us speed and reliability. Offshore work taught us precision and consequence. International work taught us adaptability. Together, they shaped a company that doesn’t distinguish between easy jobs and hard ones because in this industry, there are really only two kinds of jobs: done right, and done over.

Today, Stanley Drilling Equipment & Supply serves operators, contractors, and project teams across land-based drilling operations, offshore platforms in the Gulf of Mexico, and international markets spanning Latin America, the Middle East, India, Vietnam, Malaysia, Brunei, Africa, and beyond. We supply drilling equipment, components, and specialty supplies to operations where downtime isn’t an option and sourcing has to be right the first time.
